Agency Promotion Wins BMA's
"Best of Show"
CHARLOTTE, NC (October 8, 2010) —The Business
Marketing Association (BMA) Carolinas chapter presented their highest marketing
award of the year to SELMARQ® for the agency’s self-promotion campaign
entitled “I Hate Ad Agencies.” The awards event took place October
8th at Byron’s SouthEnd and the competition included business-to-business
(B2B) creative work from marketers and ad agencies throughout North and South
Carolina.
“While whimsical in nature, the ‘I Hate Ad Agencies’ campaign
started out with a solid strategic approach and followed with extremely strong
creative and execution,” said Carla Johnson, one of the competition’s
judges and president of BMA Colorado. “It demonstrates that business-to-business
marketing can be fun, while still generating stellar results.”
This is the third time in their 27-year history that the firm has earned Best
of Show. SELMARQ also took home a gold award this year for “Pallet Therapy,” a
direct marketing campaign created for the transport packaging unit of Sonoco
in Hartsville, South Carolina. The agency received a total of nine awards for
website design, corporate branding, direct marketing, promotional materials and
total communications programs including trade show exhibit designs.
